Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to play?
A computer running Chromium browser or Firefox
Can I play on a mobile device?
You sure can! Just connect to the website and run the game for now. We’re building a mobile app for Netherworlds ONline, so you’ll soon be able to play everywhere!
Can I log in from multiple computers?
You can use Netherworld ONline from multiple computers as long as you have your digital wallet installed on both.
Can I use a different browser?
We recommend sticking with Chrome or Firefox. It may be technically possible to use another browser, but we can’t guarantee optimal performance, so you may want to steer clear.
Non-Custodial Wallet. (OPTIONAL)
LILICO Browser wallet
To use Netherworlds ONLINE with full blockchain integrations, you need a digital wallet. We support any FLOW blockchain wallet, but we recommend Lilico for the best Netherworld experience.
You will use you wallet for full assets ownership overview, marketplace browser, player information and more.
Note: a digital wallet acts like a bank account – treat it with respect and make sure you don’t forget your password or lose your recovery kit.
What is a wallet adress?
Your public wallet adress (eg 0x0000000000) is a unique identifier for your player/wallet. Its like a name. You can share it freely with others and its used to direct assets to your wallet account.
Flow Blockchain Tokens. (OPTIONAL)
FLOW is a digital currency that powers the Flow blockchain network, which is what Netherworlds ONLINE is built on. FLOW acts like any other currency – its value fluctuates with the market.
You need to convert any FLOW currency into NWO to be able to use all game functionalities.
Trade & Exchange
How do I get NWOX Game tokens?
1. Stake your NWO or NWO-LP tokens on the main website or in game user interface.
2. Buy/Sell NWOX On the marketplace.
3. Receive as gift from another player (you still need a wallet for this).
How much does it cost to play Netherworlds ONLINE?
Nothing!
The game is fully free to play. However, if you wish to have access to some more advanced game modes, you will need to use NWOX game tokens and pay a small gas fee to conduct transactions on the blockchain.
What is a wallet adress?
Your public wallet adress (eg 0x0000000000) is a unique identifier for your player/wallet. Its like a name. You can share it freely with others and its used to direct assets to your wallet account.
How many NWO or NWOX do I need to get started?
None!
However, if you wish to get a NFT ownership token of your assets, you will have to pay a small gas fee in FLOW tokens. You can sell and buy NFT assets with NWO or FLOW.
Where are my tokens?
Transaction on the blockchain can take few minutes to process, and then it can take few more websites for our website and your wallet to sync with the blockchain. In other words, everything is a small process and we need to wait for the finalization!
Dont worry, though. If the transaction was successful, your assets belong only to you, and they will show up. The blockchain doesn’t lie.
How do I sell or buy assets and NWO tokens?
Assets:
1. Enter the assets marketplace and use buy/sell option.
2. Your assets can be placed as an auction or at a fixed price.
NWO/FLOW Tokens
Exchange any FLOW fungible tokens for NWO on a decentralized exchange.
*We recommended Incriment.fi as NWO was listed there initialy.
NWO & NWO-LP tokens
What are NWO & NWO-LP tokens?
NWO is a fungible token on the flow blockchain native to the Netherworld Online platform.
NWO-LP is an NWO/FLOW liquidity pool token.
I sold an asset or game token. Wheres my money?
If you succesfully sold an asset or game token through our marketplace, the other user definitely send the corresponding asking price. Since the user paid for the assets or game tokens through our smart contract, the payment isnt reflected as a typical IN/OUT transaction in Flowscan. (Flowscan is a readonly interface for the FLOW network that shows all events on the blockchain.)
To see the the money generated from NWO marketplace, check the internal transactions tab for your adress on Flowscan or use the marketplace History tab.
When I tried to buy an asset or token, it said “looks like you cant buy this right now.” What gives?
This message is triggered when someone else buys the asset before your transaction goes throught, or because the owner has canceled the sale auction.
The marketplace stops you from submitting transactions that will fail to save you gas fees.
Where does my money go when I place an offer?
When you make an offer on the marketplace, the funds are held in an escrow smart contract.
While in escrow, the funds are untochouable unless your offer is accepted by the owner or the owner cancels their auction.
I cant access my wallet.
Can you recover my wallet for me?
Unfortunately, no.
If you lose access to your wallet, nobody can recover your wallet. Its not an issue of it being against our policy or being to difficult; its literally impossible.
Our smart contracts secure each assets so that even the developers cant edit, access or reassign them.
This protects your assets from hackers and anyone else who would want unauthorized access to them.
Unfortunately, this also means we cant simply recover your wallet or assets.
Taverns & Assets
What are taverns?
Tavern is your players unique homeland in the game world.
There are 2 types of taverns : Player and Guild taverns.
Your tavern is unique and registered on the blockchain.
That means nobody can take or claim ownership of your homeland.
You own the NFT ownership token of your tavern & assets ingame!
What are assets?

All assets are an unique NFT.
What is a NFT?
A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unique digital identifier that cannot be copied, substituted, or subdivided, that is recorded in a blockchain, and that is used to certify authenticity and ownership.
You own the NFT ownership token of your tavern & assets ingame!
Transactions and technical details
Whats Flowscan?
Flowscan is a read only interface for the FLOW network.
It tells you everything thats happened on the blockchain. It helps you verify that transactions were successful and tracks other helpful details about all transactions and addresses.
My transaction failed but it still charged me gas.
Gas is paid whenever a request is processed on the blockchain. Even if a transaction fails, it still takes computing power to determine whether or not the transaction can succeed. The FLOW network charges gas for the operations executed up until the transaction fails.
These transaction fees are not paid to the Netherworld Online team, but to the FLOW network and miners.
Tell me more about gas.
Gas’ is a shorthand used to describe the cost of powering a transaction or contract in FLOW network, which is the blockchain network that Netherworld ONLINE is built on. Because blockchain is decentralized, every transaction is distributed through multiple computers, not a central server.
This ensures each token — in this case, each NWO/NWOX/NFT asset — is secure and one-of-a-kind. It also takes a lot of computational power, which is covered by the cost of gas.
‘Gas’ is composed of two parts: Gas Price and Gas Limit.
Gas Price is what you offer to pay the miners (in a tiny measurement of ether called “gwei”) for each operation to execute the smart contract.
Gas Limit is how many operations you let them to do before they run out of gas and drop the transaction. • 1 gwei = 1/1,000,000,000th of an ether.
